Dorit Wenke studied Psychology at the Technical University of Berlin from 1992 to 1998. In 2003, she was awarded a doctorate from Humboldt University at Berlin, where she also obtained her habilitation (“second dissertation”) in 2013.

She gathered extensive experience in research and teaching as a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Humboldt University in Berlin (1998-2006), as a postdoctoral fellow at University College London (2006-2008), as an employee at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig (2008-2010), as a scientific adviser at the Department of Experimental Clinical and Health Psychology of the University of Gent/Belgium (2010-2011), and as a visiting professor of Research Methods/Statistics at Humboldt University at Berlin (2014-2015).
